Hello! I’m Christin.

Pre-Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Life Transitions (and soon-to-be ADHD) Coach, Birth and End-of-Life Doula

Hi! I’m a mental health counseling professional with a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, life transitions coach certified through Coach Training Alliance, and birth and end-of-life doula on a mission to build a healthier, happier community by supporting the individuals within it.

I have extensive post-graduate training in trauma and post-traumatic growth, especially birth trauma, death, and grief. As a trained birth and death doula, I work closely with people who have perinatal anxiety and depression, as well as trauma in birth or long-term care settings. I am also a certified professional coach specializing in executive dysfunction and have a passion for ADHD coaching, which I have extensive training for (and experience in… because I have my own ADHD diagnosis)! I am currently on track to graduate my ADHD coach training program in Jan. 2022.

My greatest joy, and work in life, is aiding others in becoming more truly themselves, and that is what good therapy facilitates. Our work will be a collaborative, dynamic process that we shape together in the safe container that I will hold for you as your therapist. I look forward to collaborating with you, and to sharing this journey together!

Anxiety & Depression

Feeling trapped, stuck, or hopeless? You are not alone. Anxiety and depression are the most common disorders in the United States.

Panic Attacks

Are you having panic attacks about getting another panic attack?

Executive Dysfunction

Does your brain “stop working” when you’re overstimulated? Do other people make jokes about you being fashionably late, chronically disorganized, or a creative genius “with so much potential”? Have they been doing that since you were three? Are you barely keeping your life together?

Polyamory And/Or Kink-Awareness

Do your ideas about love, sex, and pleasure challenge the social norms and cause you to live with secrecy or shame?

Gender Identity/Sexuality

Is your gender identity or sexuality something other than cis-het, and you need a therapist who “gets it”?

Life Direction

Do you feel like you have outgrown your life or are living someone else’s idea of a good time?

Trauma

Wonder why you react to things the way you do, and wish you could handle your reactions to situations and relationships differently? We will address both shock and developmental trauma in our work together. What’s the difference?

PTSD

Has trauma taken over your life and become the pivotal moment of before the trauma and after it?

My Philosophy of Healing in ACTion: How We Go Where We Grow

It is my firm belief that one size does not fit all when it comes to therapy and that your treatment plan should adapt along with you. That’s why from the very beginning of our time together, it’s important to me to take the time to ensure that we are “a good fit” and that I’m the best therapist to meet your needs. We start with a complimentary 30-minute discussion of your needs and strengths, your resources, and your hopes. Assuming we’re a match, we begin tailoring your treatment plan immediately and continue to do so throughout our time together. We’ll also plant the seeds for a collaborative, dynamic therapeutic alliance in which your feedback is openly elicited and encouraged, and which is supported by trust, confidentiality, and authentic connection. This relationship provides the container in which healing takes root.

Getting Started is Easy

Free 30 Min Chat

This complimentary virtual or phone session is a chance for us to connect and make sure we are a good fit for each other. Call, email, or fill out the Contact Us form at the bottom of the page to set up a time!

1st Session

Once we commit to working together, your initial session can be scheduled. This will be an in-depth conversation about you, where you are right now, and where you want to grow. Then we begin to plot a course to get you there!

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept any forms of insurance?

I do not take insurance at this time. I can, however, provide a superbill or a paid invoice for you to submit to your insurance for out-of-network coverage. Please call the number on the back of your insurance card to inquire about out-of-network providers prior to your intake session (first paid appointment) if you intend to submit receipts to your insurance company. Thanks!

Do you offer telehealth and/or phone appointments?

I currently offer online therapy through Zoom and via a portal through TherapyNotes, both of which are HIPAA-compliant. I also offer a phone option. Due to COVID-19, all of my appointments are currently held by phone or video.

Do I need to fill out any paperwork before our first session?

You will receive paperwork via the TherapyNotes portal prior to your appointment. You will also receive a welcome letter in the mail, unless you wish not to.

How much do your mental health services cost?

The initial 30-minute contact is no cost to you. Your first 90-minute intake appointment is $120, and each subsequent 55-60 minute appointment is $120. Please speak to me directly about payment arrangements if this price is too high. You may also benefit from group services, which are less costly than individual services.

What if I can’t come every week?

While we would be able to make faster progress if you come weekly, we can schedule less frequently if necessary.

Where are you located?

Due to Covid-19, I am currently running my entire practice virtually. I am licensed to practice therapy in the state of Indiana. If you reside outside of Indiana, I can work with you in a coaching capacity.
